2. GENERAL

The legal provisions of §13 of the TMG (Telemedia Act), §33 of the BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) and Art. 12, 13 of the GDPR shall require the operator of an online portal to act as the responsible authority (see cons. no. 1) in regards to information vis-à-vis users. The company Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH takes the protection of your personal data, as well as the obligation to provide information to you, very seriously and strictly adheres to the laws on data protection. Therefore, the present statement provides you with an overview on how our company ensures this protection and the kind of data that will be collected for that purpose. Should you have concerns regarding data protection, you can contact the data protection officer of the Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH directly via email:

datenschutz@peter-kaiser.de.

We would like to point out explicitly that internet-based data transmission, especially unencrypted email communication, has security gaps and cannot be completely protected from being accessed by third parties. In general, you should therefore only send information via email that you could also send on a postcard without hesitation.

3. LINKED URL ADDRESSES / LINKING TO OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS

If a user leaves the area of responsibility of the Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH by following links to external websites and services, the company is not accountable for data collected by those portal providers.

Corresponding responsibilities are usually mentioned in the respective privacy statement.   In the scope of the available offers presented on the website www.peter-kaiser.de, it might happen that so-called frames from third-party providers (partner companies) are displayed or that the website is linked to third-party websites. In accordance with §13 (5) of the TMG, redirecting to an external service provider must thereby be indicated. To comply with this obligation, the links are displayed in a way that clearly indicates that the user will be directed to a third-party provider.

In particular, there's no Facebook iFrame embedded in this website. Thus, no data will be transferred to Facebook, without any action on your part, just because you are visiting our website. You have to click one of the Facebook symbols or the Like-button as this is the only link leading to the Facebook website. You'll leave the area of responsibility of the Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH by clicking the corresponding button/symbol linked to the external website. This ensures that no data is transferred to Facebook without any action on your part or without your explicit consent.

The technical implementation of the web content is outside of the area of responsibility of the Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH on redirecting to or linking of all third-party providers. It is hereby expressly stated that these third-party providers could potentially use so-called trackers, web beacons or cookies to analyse the surfing behaviour of the visitors to their site. In this respect, we always refer to the privacy statement of the respective third-party provider. Furthermore, we would like to refer explicitly to the so-called Facebook ruling passed by the Schleswig-Holstein Administrative Court, reference number 8 A 37/12, 8 A 218/11. Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH has no control over the implementation of the linked or embedded pages and what kind of data is collected there. Furthermore, the Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH has no access to the data collected by third parties via cookie, tracker or beacon or by other means.

8. COOKIES & OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

When accessing individual web pages, so-called cookies are used to make navigation easier. These are small text files that are placed on your device (PC, smartphone, etc.). The cookies from our website do not collect any personal data about you and are completely anonymous. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of your browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (so-called 'session cookies'). Other cookies remain on your device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website (so-called 'persistent cookies'). You can block the installation of cookies by configuring your browser settings accordingly, setting it either to accept cookies only in certain cases or to block all cookies. You can also set your browser to ask you every time to decide whether to accept a cookie. However, please note that if you block all cookies, you will not be able to fully use all the functions of our website.

Under 'Privacy Settings', you can grant or withdraw your consent.

9. SOCIAL PLUGINS (FACEBOOK)

We explicitly abstain from integrating social plugins (such as iFrames) from Facebook on this website because these plugins collect excessive data, even if you do not click on their buttons. Therefore, Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH provides you with links to Facebook by embedding the links in the corresponding symbols (see also chapter 3: 'Linked URLs/Links to Other Service Providers') This ensures that your data cannot be transferred to Facebook without direct action on your part or without your permission. Please note that when you click on the links (the Facebook symbol or 'Like' button), you are redirected to Facebook, which means you are then outside the area controlled by Peter Kaiser Retail GmbH. You can find the Facebook privacy policy at https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php.

10. USE OF ANALYSIS TOOLS (GOOGLE ANALYTICS)

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. ('Google'). Google Analytics uses so-called 'cookies', which are text files that are stored on your computer and enable analysis of your use of the website. As a rule, the information that the cookie creates about your use of this website is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, in case IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be abbreviated by Google within the member states of the European Union or other signatory states to the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the complete IP address is transferred first to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Under commission of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports about website activities and to provide the website operator with other services related to the use of this website and the internet. The IP address transferred from your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. You can block cookies by configuring your browser settings accordingly. However, please note that in that case you will be unable to fully use all the features of this website.

You can block data collection from Google Analytics by clicking the following link.

More information about terms and conditions for use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/ respectively.

Please note that the website www.peterkaiser.de uses the extension 'anonymizelp' to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (i.e. 'IP masking') in connection with Google Analytics. This means that the last eight characters of the IP address are anonymised.

We also use Google Analytics to analyse data from AdWords and the Double-Click cookie for statistical purposes.
If you prefer not to participate in this, you can deactivate the ad display manager here: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de.

This function enables us to display ads to visitors of our website whenever they visit the social media site Facebook, based on their interests ('Facebook Ads'). For this purpose, the Facebook remarketing tag has been implemented on this website. When you visit this website, the tag establishes a direct link to the Facebook servers. This transfers information to the Facebook server indicating that you have visited this website, and Facebook allocates this information to your personal Facebook user account. Further information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights and options for privacy protection can be found in the Facebook privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. We reserve the right to take legal measures against senders of so-called 'SPAM' e-mails in case of violation of this prohibition. The service provider and all the persons named on this website hereby object to any commercial use or distribution of their data.
